Why should I remodel my office or business?

Commercial remodeling will not only make your office space or business more comfortable, but it will also make it more energy efficient, functional, organized and even profitable. It will also increase the value of your property and make it easier to maintain.

If your commercial remodel is sales oriented, then appearance matters! A new, stylish update could be just the thing your space needs to better display your products and better display your company to your potential customers.

What do I need to do once I make the decision to have a commercial remodel?

First, you need to think through exactly what changes you want to make.

You may want to look through some magazines or even hit the streets and see what you like, and what you do not like, about other businesses or commercial spaces in the city to get an idea of what kind of remodeling project is most appealing to you.

Some major considerations may include:

  • How the room will look once it’s furnished
  • What kind of lighting you want
  • The sort of foot traffic that will be going through the room
  • What colors or themes you want the room to have
How will I pay for it?

There are several different ways you can go about paying for your commercial remodeling project.

You can apply for a loan or try to get a line of credit through your bank. There is also the possibility of getting an equity loan.

If you want to pay for your commercial remodel out-of-pocket, then you can always use profits from previous quarters to pay for your remodel – either doing it all at once or over a longer period.

Regardless of which path you choose, Covenant Construction will be there to help and make sure your budget stays set exactly where you want it.

How do I go about choosing a remodeling contractor?

You’ll find a little bit of research can go a long way.

For instance, look at reviews of commercial contractors in your area online and see what’s being said about the commercial construction companies you are considering.

Be careful about these reviews, however; they may have been posted by someone with a certain agenda either for or against the company you are thinking of hiring.

If you see reviews that seem overly positive or negative, you should disregard them.

Also, you should talk to friends, neighbors and family members to see who they may recommend. Odds are if you get advice from someone who you trust, it will be good advice.

And finally, talk to the contractors, have meetings with them and see how they treat you, their staff and how transparent they are. If they are not honest or forthcoming with information, then you might want to steer clear of them.

Ask about timelines, budgets and quality. Ask about guarantees and their values. There might be a lot of commercial contractors in Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington or Frisco, but not all are considered a wise choice.

What happens if I want to change something during the process?
